RSS streams or feeds are equivalent to information transmitted by a news agency. You are automatically informed of new content on line without having to browse through related sites. Sites offering RSS feeds usually display one of the following logos:
Aggregator (RSS reader) Aggregators are software programs, usually free, that allow you to display all new content from your favourite sites. Web Browser Most browsers now allow you to display RSS feeds. However, this is not the case with Internet Explorer, which requires a plug-in.
Some sites, including Internet provider portals, allow you to add RSS feeds. You can try it on your Google account.

Several websites, including cegep sites, display our RSS feeds. They benefit from automatically updated content, thereby increasing visitor interest and loyalty. If you have access to a server, you may use your own parsers to convert the RSS XML output to HTML.
