Who uses the services of La Vitrine?

La Vitrine responds to the needs of IT Reps and faculty in Quebec colleges. However, for software group purchases, universities are also using our services.

All of the information, with the exception of the price list, is freely available on our Web site and through RSS feeds.

How are the activities of La Vitrine financed?

Collège de Bois-de-Boulogne is the responsible agent of La Vitrine Technologie-Éducation. It receives an annual subsidy from the ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport du Québec. The financing is completed by annual fees from its members.

Software Group Purchases

I am a teacher or student in higher education. Am I to personally benefit for the savings of group purchases?

The personnel of establishments who are members of La Vitrine Technologie-Éducation, under certain conditions, may use for free products such as Microsoft and Adobe on their personal computers.

How are the programs for group purchases chosen?

The decisions are made based upon the projected volume of sales. In the case of a product which is not known, but is judged to be important pedagogically or for management purposes, the software producers are responsible for its promotion. The choice of resellers is made by the tender process according to the criteria set out by the editor.
