This learning materials are intended for intermediate and advanced students of Chinese. The material for this project is derived from idiomatic expressions used in modern spoken Chinese called chéngyu or yùyán.
Real Chinese is a lively introduction to Mandarin Chinese in 10 short parts: greetings, asking for directions, ordering drinks, etc. You can click on the topics in order to see the slideshow and hear the language. You'll also find useful phrases with tips on pronunciation and grammar, cultural notes and a short challenge to check what you've learnt.
